The North West Donegal Child and Family Support Network launched their Community Health & Wellbeing Directory. The Launch was addressed by Dr. Aisling Gillen Regional Services Director TUSLA West and the directory was launched by Majella and Daniel O’Donnell on Wednesday 11th November. The new directory will be available as a printed booklet that will be sent to libraries, community centres, health centres and charity shops and can also be accessed on-line at www.donegalchn.org at www.pobail.org or www.parenthubdonegal.ie and from DLDC. This Directory will be a great resource to both the public and the services working in the North West area. Huge thanks to all who contributed and a special word of thanks to Paul Kernan and the staff in Pobail le Chéile CDP who have worked so hard pulling the Directory together and all who contributed to its content. You can reserve the item and then collect at the shop door Wednesday 11-12noon or Friday 11-12 noon each week. We will also have a ‘Books To Go!’ stall outside the shop at those times with a selection of novels for your enjoyment – you can leave a wee donation if you want the book or just borrow and return.


Would you be interested in joining a Walk and Talk Bookclub? Exercise your mind and body.  Group would be limited in numbers and would meet monthly. The bookclub would champion female authors such as Sally Rooney, Marian Keyes, Maggie O’Farrell and Jeanine Cummins. Due to Level 3 Restrictions the Baby Massage Course with Victoria has been re scheduled to Wednesday 4th November at Garradh Cholm Cille from 11.15am-1pm. There was an option to do course on Zoom but  we thought it would be nicer for new mums to make that social connection with each other in class. The classes will run for 5 weeks. Parents will learn the wonderful technique of baby massage. Suitable for babies from 6 weeks to 8 months old. The cost is €40 for the course. The classes will run for 6 weeks at Ionad Naomh Fionnán .To comply with covid guidelines we will be reducing the number of participants allowed in the class, and will be unable to take walk-ins. Therefore places are limited and booking is essential.
